Marketers, Mickey Mouse, and Omni Orlando

Before we dive into details. Let’s take a cocktail break.

Shall we?

Fresh, on the rocks, poolside margarita?

Yes, please!

Russell, our fantastic poolside server, gladly obliged. Thanks for the margs, Russell!

My boyfriend and I just returned from marketing retreat, Social Fresh West, at the 4-star Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in Orlando, FL.

Thanks to our friends at Omni, we had the opportunity to really experience the hotel!

In a word, it’s impeccable.

As frequent travelers, we’re committed to accommodations that offer a specific level of service and healthy dining options.

Over the years, we’ve learned one thing for sure…

There’s a certain art to perfecting the hotel stay.

There’s the amenities and general comforts, and then there’s the warmth of thoughtfulness.

Every member of the Omni staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and supported. They thought ahead and worked to anticipate our needs.

From our awesome bellhop Steve, who made sure we had a microwave, to the spa manager who called in a stylist for my pre-event blowout, everything was taken care of and considered.

Let’s start at my favorite spot…

Mokara Spa is where you want to be

I love that Omni owns their in-house spa Mokara. It really makes a difference when the spa is part of the resort. You could tell the level of service was up to par. It was Omni level service at Mokara.

Incidentally, I decided to go with a few red highlights at the last minute!

I also made sure to test out the massage, steam room, and whirlpool for you. It was wonderful, please proceed to Mokara at your earliest convenience. Spa menu here.

The art of Omni’s breakfast at Trevi’s

Even though we were running late to brunch, we called down and the hostess at Trevi’s left the buffet open for us. Much appreciated!

And, wow, it did not disappoint.  I was happy to find my favorite nut butter – cashew butter! So delish. And, the egg station chef expertly made me poached eggs.

The brunch team was so friendly and accommodating. I’m getting hungry just thinking about that brunch…

Also, David’s Club was a staple spot for us.

Have dinner at David’s, hope to get served by Jim

Jim was our favorite bartender and he whipped up the perfect margaritas (pictured above!). He was an all around nice guy. Like someone you’d want to be friends with. He gave us tips on local excursions and was genuinely invested in our experience.

For dinner, my favorite dish was the cauliflower and quinoa. It was truly delectable and nourishing. I definitely recommend it!

The Asian restaurant, Zen was so tasty as well. Also, perfect for a romantic dinner date. See all the resort dining options here.

Team meeting in the poolside cabana. Fruit plate?

This fruit plate was perfect on such a hot day. Also, the flat screen TV and fridge in the cabana make it feel like an extension of your suite.

The cabanas line the pool and provide nice relief from the sun, as necessary. If you have a group or you’re traveling with your partner, definitely reserve some cabana time.

We also witnessed superb guest services out by the pool when some guests made a request – from inside the pool – to the cabana team. Instead of dismissing the request (it was a bit excessive), the cabana server thought through the issue and immediately offered a work around for the guests. Also, the server acted instantly. 5 star service.

Lush grassy knoll for yoga poses

Caught mid-pose!

There’s an endless supply of greens at this resort and if you’re the golfing type, you’ll love to know they have two championship 18-hole golf courses designed by accomplished architect and golfer, Greg Norman. So fancy!

My private yogi corner at the Omni

The Omni Orlando’s Junior Suite was beautiful and spacious. There was enough room for me to create a yoga corner and leave my yoga mat out all the time. Also, I appreciate that housekeeping never rolled it up and put it away somewhere.

Some hotels put your mat away when they vacuum but forget to return it. It’s the little things!

Speaking of which… thrice daily turn-down service was perfect. The consistency and pleasantries of housekeeping really contributed to increasing our calm.

Headed to the parks?

Omni offers a complimentary shuttle to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks.

We ended up calling the hotel car service and our driver Robert was fantastic. He routed us to a special VIP drop-off location so we would have a shorter walk to the park entrance.

See you next time!

If you’re thinking about traveling to Orlando, definitely book your room at the Omni. It’s truly full service.

It wasn’t possible to list every moment, but I hope this glimpse was helpful. It was a trip I should not soon forget.

Below: A bittersweet moment… headed to the jacuzzi on the last night of our event. Excited to celebrate and sorry to leave.

Thanks to the Omni for being such a gracious host! Cheers!
